Hello po:) Well to start, I’d like to give a special shout out to Nanay Garcia🎈💥 You know who you are;) and when you reads this hello:) Can’t wait for FHE mamaya:D
Anyway, my week was pretty good this week. It was a little slower because it was really busy and the mission office has been having some troubles. But now it’s all back to normal and this next week will hopefully progress. I guess I can give a short story on one of our new investigators, her name is **** and she’s 15. She lives in an area called Tula Tula Pequeno (pegueno in Spanish is small if you didn’t know) and I’ll tell you what it is not PEQUENO. It’s basically a mountain. So we found her in our old investigators section in our area book so we decided to go find her cause she seemed good to teach. As we were hiking we kept asking people where she lives they all keep saying "sa taas" which means "at the top" so we kept going higher and higher. After about an hour of hiking in our missionary work clothes we finally found her. As we got to know her we found out she was about to be baptized but like I’ve said before the last elders didn’t work. So for her, her baptism never happened and she waited for almost 2 months for missionaries to come. We invited her to be baptized again and of course she was happy to accept. Then we set up another appt. and started our hike down. It was easier going down ha-ha. So being missionaries we need to make daily contact with our investigators with a date to be baptized, so for us this means making that hike every day, or maybe 5 times a week so we don’t die. But all in all I’m very glad we went through the effort to find her. God knew the effort we were putting so he was happy with us and gave us the strength:) So other than that, I don’t really have any other interesting stories, just the usual of doors slammed in our face and debates about religion:) I’m doing perfect right now, there is no place I would rather be than here in the Philippines:) OH and I guess Manny Pacquiao said something about gay marriage or something? And that’s all that’s on TV here are debates about him. It’s pretty cool actually. And also Miss Philippines or Miss Universe is still a big thing here. It’s cool to say that I was in the Philippines the year that Miss Philippines won Miss Universe!! Astig huh? So yun lang for now:) I love you all. The church is true and always remember to say your prayers:) Mahal Kita!
