Happy papas day to all ya'll good ole
daddies and most of all happy day to the best dad there is, you know who you
are 😉 !!
Well I think I said about 2 weeks ago that I thought that we were finally into rainy season, but from these last 2 weeks I’m pretty sure that rain was just a joke to get everyone’s hope up. As from what I’ve seen these last few weeks, is that it’s still hotter than ever. Which I mean is alright for me, but to make long things short, its hot. So this week we had the great opportunity to witness and be a part of one of our investigators baptism. The original date was for a Saturday, but the branch leaders were busy so they asked if we could move it to Friday, but that was the 22nd birthday of her aunt and they have plans, so we just did it Sunday morning before sacrament. It was great because most of her family were able to attend and witness it. She did great. :) Then in sacrament we confirmed her, and our other recent convert we baptized last week. Also, the aunt of the one we recently baptized has a new born but she’s not a member (yet) and she gave us permission to give her baby a blessing and I got to be part of it. 🙂 Also it being Father’s Day, I got to be a speaker during sacrament and I didn’t talk about Dads?? But about member missionary work! Easy. And just to close my good day at church I gave the Priesthood lesson. Good day:) I’m glad that we ended the no baptism streak here for this area and I’m hoping to have at least one more before my service is over. Like I’ve said before, she’s still on track and excited, so were just waiting for July 8. But after her, I’m thinking that'd be it, but it’s all good. :) All good things come to an end eventually right??
So in our area here in the city, basically most of the people are slowing preparing and in preparation they set up a small carnival type thing, kind of like our Peach Days but just Filipino version. It’s been up for a little under a month so were exited! This 22nd is the yearly Sorsogon Pili Festival. From what I’ve heard, a bunch of schools and different cultural things are going to join for a big parade. Basically my whole mission I haven’t been able to really watch anything like that so I’m excited!! Don’t worry I’ll take lots of pictures. :) Actually there are a lot of things these next 2 weeks but I’ll tell more about them next time. So that'll be it for this week. :) Sorry simple lang! Love ya'll 🙂
